Kaliviani Resort
Kaliviani is a small and calm village located at the very beginning of the Gramvoussa promontory. Despite the growing tourism, the village has preserved its original character and atmosphere.
Two important habits have contributed to this fact:
- In Kaliviani, houses are built from huge stone blocks, and so, compared to other places on Crete, the village has a historical and unusual character,
- Every garden in the village is full of green vegetation and a variety of blooming bushes and flowers that remain in bloom almost during the whole year
What to do in Kaliviani
The village of Kaliviani is a truly peaceful place and therefore suitable for those who are looking for a calm holiday away from huge crowds and tourist complexes. Yet if the local tavernas and other facilities weren´t enough for you, then about 6 km east, you will find a bigger town and tourist resort of Kissamos.
The Kaliviani resort is also a good point of departure for getting to know the beauties of all the western part of the island. Such beautiful places like Chania, the famous beaches of Falasarna, Elafonissi or Balos or the largest gorge in Europe, Samaria, are really close and they are all very well accessible both by car and public buses.

Lokalita
The Kaliviani resort is located on the north coast almost in the westernmost part of the island, about 6 km west of the town of Kissamos and 48 km west of the beautiful historical town of Hania.
Jak se tam dostanu
From Kissamos, drive on the main road to the west in the direction of Trahilos. There the road turns sharply to the left, and about 2 km from this place, there is a turn to the right. After two more kilometres, you will arrive at Kaliviani.
